engadget: Scientists create mutant bugs that produce crude oil, unleash swarm of merciless killers. “[G]enetically modified bacteria … that eat wheat and excrete crude oil.” Kind of cool; kind of creepy. Still maybe better to stop using oil altogether, yeah?
